Drink Water…

Water is essential for everything your body does.  In fact, you are more than 70 percent water!  Nutrient absorption, blood flow, respiration, elimination, and your ability to see and hear require adequate consumption of pure, clean water.  Your body cannot effectively store the water you need throughout the day.  Drink at least eight glasses of water every day.

I have found that drinking a large glass of water as soon as I get up in the morning…really helps me to wake up.  I also read that drinking a lot of water is like giving the inside of your body a shower.  You know how good it feels to take a shower?  It’s vitally important that we keep the inside of our bodies clean and free of toxins so…drink up !!!  Please see the alkaline water info at the bottom of this page.

Excercise…

Your body was created to move…activity increases your circulation, speeding oxygen, nutrients and water to your cells.  Your Lymphatic System requires activity to purge your body of deadly toxins.  Activity also triggers your brain to release health-giving hormones and enzymes that lift your spirit while they bolster your immune system.  Make a goal to walk more every day…walking for just 10 minutes has been shown to have a positive impact on your health.  If you don’t use it…you’ll lose it !!!

Eat Nutritiously…

Food has a powerful impact on your body.  Everyday, food, in large part, determines how you feel and how your body functions.  A balanced diet, rich in whole foods, combined with quality nutritional supplements created to meet your specific needs, will give you the energy you need today, and the disease-fighting strength you need to build a healthy future.  Spend some time educating yourself on nutrition and health.  This quote by Jim Rohn sums it up pretty well…”Take care of your body…it’s the only place you have to live”.

Breathe Deeply…

Every moment of every day your body exchanges carbon dioxide for oxygen to keep each cell in your body alive and functioning.  A rich supply of oxygen can make the difference between feeling tired and stressed and youthful and focused.  Take at least five deep breaths from your abdomen several times each day.

Sleep Peacefully…

Sleep is the only time your body has to repair and rejuvenate every organ and system in your body.  Sleep deprivation causes cellular damage, and limits the production of enzymes and hormones your body needs to keep your cells healthy, and prevent premature aging.  Sleep also has a powerful impact on your emotional health- it eases stress and helps you cope with the ups and downs of your day.  Strive to get eight hours of sleep every night.  (I really need to work on this one.)

Give And Receive Love…

As you give and receive love, freely and generously, you will be blessed with meaningful, lifelong relationships and cherished memories that will bring joy in happy times, and strength and peace in difficult times.

Be Forgiving…

By forgiving yourself and others of past and present mistakes, you will gain freedom from negativity and guilt that will strengthen you and those you love.  Holding a grudge is extremely harmful to your physical and emotional health…let it go…let God be your vindicator.

Practice Gratitude…

Have a thankful spirit and always remember to count your blessings.  You know how good it feels when your children are so grateful for something you’ve done for them and they keep thanking you and telling you that you’re the best mom or dad ever?  Well…God feels the same way…He is our heavenly Father and we need to maintain a grateful heart.  If you think your life is rough…go back to the home page of my blog, scroll down and watch the video that says “Are You Going To Finish Strong?”.

Develop Acceptance…

When you develop the ability to identify and accept the circumstances in your life you cannot change, yet strive to make positive changes whenever and wherever you can, you will discover a lasting peace and hope.

Develop A Relationship With God…

We all have a “God-shaped” hole in our heart and the only thing that will fill it, is a relationship with God.  You cannot fill it with material things, money, people, etc, etc.  You develop a relationship with  God the very same way you would with anyone else…by spending time with Him and just talking and listening.  Just be yourself (hint: God already know everything about you anyway) and talk to him from your heart…you will develop an inner peace and joy that is unlike anything the world has to offer.

Personally, I think it’s pathetic that we don’t ALL know this. Since your body is 70% water, doesn’t it make sense that drinking alkaline water would be the easiest way to raise the PH level of your body? God designed our bodies to heal themselves but we need to provide all the raw material and the right environment for the body to be able to heal. I want to educate as many people as I can about the importance of getting your body’s PH up to between 7.1 and 7.5 (Note: I would recommend not drinking any more soda since soda’s PH is 2.5)

Acidic body = disease      Alkaline body = health

    • Thank you Jeff. I’m finding the older I get (I’ll be 52 on June 11th) the more disciplined I need to be with my wellness regime. I want to set a good example for my kids and grandkids…like the lady on the Today Show that jumped out of an airplane to celebrate her 90th birthday…woo-hoo!!!
